Flash on OS X

I am have no problem with no Flash on a new Mac out of the box. I don't mind downloading and installing but the best option would be to get it from the Mac App Store and have the auto-update to stay up to date. My concern is, as well documented with the iPhone App Store, delays in Apple's internal processing would slow the arrival of critical updates.
